our team who finished the project successfully

Relaxing after having almost 3 months efforts on our project, May be it looks simple but the vibrations, hard work, and co-operation from each and every one of our batch mates are uncountable. our thanks and pure feelings from inner heart to all our well wishers, friends, class mates, supervisors and the final most important person i.e. Mid-Sweden University

Wish to see you in our new blog with new project

Complete presentation for seminar

we worked on presentation together and finally with the help of our supervisor finished every thing that is needed for us.

our million fold thanks to our supervisor Hailu Metaferia

Intensity Measurement Using Fiber optics, Camera, solarcell

Today, we did the measurements using the Detector, in turn we used fiber optics to perform the precious output from the light source. the following are the few pictures that illustrates our setup.

Prototype for fibre optic arrangement and future idea

We tried to arrange fiber optics as we discussed earlier to our detector. In order to move manually on each and every precious illuminated point of the sensor or solar cell to simulate or test the intensity distribution.
we assumed the required path to be tested as a matrix and arranged the following setup which may fulfill our aim.

our future idea is to use automated PLCs (programmable logic controllers) to make the system more accurate and near to ideal in place of the following prototype.

One of the end, where fibre is placed inside the pencil knob and enclosed in encapsulation and the other end where we can move manually. the logic behind this is, if we move the outer part with hand on exact replica of the illuminated area which is inside the case, fiber could detect the same.
the other end of the fiber has contact with the photo diode, so that the experiment could be done in enclosed package with out any external radiation interface. we can also avoid the exposure of intense or high energy radiation from light sources that are used for solar test simulation or for other purpose.

these pictures shows the both ends, one end for moving manually and the other which goes according to our movement on required illumination.

the main advantage is we save the expensive cost of using fibre optic adaptor to photo transistor interface by using pencil knob. hope this setup works as we are going for measurements sooon.

final prototype with adaptor

we were working on compatibility of our prototype.

finally we reached by using converter and adapter.

following picture is the finished prototype of radiation detector

finishing the detector

we are trying to finish our detector with built in dc/dc converter and a adaptor for portability,
we are still working on fiber optics, there may be a possibility to interact this detector with fiber and radiation in turn.

RADIATION DETECTOR

In order to detect the light intensity, we started our task in investigating photo-diodes. after we received enough data and components, fabricated the circuit which is shown below.
